Day Trek Itinerary
Arrival at Srinagar (0800 - 1100 hours)
As you will arrive at Srinagar, our tour guides will be there to welcome you and will drive you to Sonamarg through Ganderbal. You’ll halt for a while at the Sind River bank at Wayil in order to take a look at the beauty of the place before arriving at Sonamarg.
Begin the Trek (1100 – 1300 hours)
After reaching your destination, that is, Sonamarg, you’ll begin the two hour trek through pine forest and meadows to reach the head of the Glacier. While trekking to the meadow take a glance at the beautifully lined pine trees. Also, don’t forget to enjoy the scenic and beautiful sight of the down valley. After having a delighting lunch at the Glacier, amidst snow peaked picturesque mountains, you’ll take a walk around to practice snow sliding and to explore the lifestyle of shepherds and their little huts.
End of Trek (1700 – 1800 hours)
As you end with uncovering the beauty of Glacier and exploring the lifestyle around, you will trek down Thajiwas and take our car which will drive you back to Srinagar. The day tour to Sonamarg and Thajiwas Glacier will end with the drop to Srinagar from where you will head to your next destination.
